Jacquard sweater manufacturer
Develop jacquard, intarsia, cable and textured knitwear with pattern engineering and sample approval.

Jacquard sweater manufacturer
We manufacture jacquard sweaters for brands that want pattern and colour built into the knit: Fair Isle and Nordic styles, Christmas sweaters, geometric and graphic patterns, knitted logos and placement motifs. As a jacquard sweater manufacturer in China, we work in double jacquard in up to 4 colours, single or float jacquard and intarsia, and we recommend the construction that keeps your design clean, soft and affordable.
Every design starts with a knitted swatch, normally ready 2–3 days after we receive your artwork, so you can check scale, colour balance and the back of the fabric before the first sample. Wool blends suit most Fair Isle and jacquard styles, and multi-colour jacquard and intarsia need 80–100 pcs per colour within the 300 pcs per style MOQ. For vintage-style ranges, see our argyle and Fair Isle samples.
Pattern development
Pattern placement, repeat, colour use and scale are reviewed against yarn, gauge and silhouette.
Graphic colour blocks and motifs are engineered for the garment shape and construction.
Structured stitches can be combined with graphic elements to create depth and identity.

Patterned knits we have produced: colour-block, intarsia, check and houndstooth designs.

Choose the construction
Buyers often use “jacquard” for any patterned knit, but the construction decides how the inside of the garment looks and feels, how heavy it is and what it costs. We help you choose before the first sample.
| Construction | Inside of the garment | Colours we recommend | Practical limit | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Double jacquard (birdseye back) | Small birdseye or striped dots, no long floats | 2–4 | 4, knitted reliably in bulk | Next-to-skin sweaters, fine gauges, cashmere |
| Single jacquard (float back) | Loose yarn floats behind the pattern | 2–4 | 5–6 | Outerwear, heavier sweaters, Fair Isle looks |
| Intarsia | Clean back; each colour area knitted with its own yarn carrier | 3–6 | No fixed limit, but cost and time rise with every carrier | Placed motifs, logos, large colour blocks |
Rule of thumb: for next-to-skin styles, choose double jacquard: 2–3 colours for the lightest hand-feel, up to 4 when the design needs it. For outerwear and heavier knits, use single jacquard with up to 4 colours. For complex multi-colour artwork, choose intarsia and plan for a higher budget.
Gradients, shadows and photos cannot be knitted directly; we redraw artwork in flat colours on the stitch grid and confirm the practical colour count with you. Long floats on single jacquard are kept to 4–5 needles or tacked, so they do not snag after washing.

Case study · Jacquard co-ord set
A fashion brand sent us a single picture of a scallop-pattern knitted top and skirt. They wanted the same look in their own colours, with a different neckline and skirt shape. Here is their reference next to our first sample.

We programmed the scallop motif as a jacquard repeat for our computerized flat knitting machines, scaled so it reads clearly on both pieces.
A viscose-blend yarn for a soft, fluid handle, with a metallic yarn outlining each scallop.
Burgundy trims became pink, the crew neck became a mock neck and the A-line skirt became a straight skirt, all to the buyer’s request.
